The Faculty of Economics and Business Studies is by far the most international Faculty at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, where almost 10% of our regular students and professors are coming from all over the World. At the Summer School of Economics and Business, the percentages are reversed, and more than 90% of our students and most of our professors are from all over the World. 2019 visit to Mercamadrid

The students of UAM’s Summer School of Economics and Business in our Global Marketing course visited Mercamadrid, the largest wholesale food market in Spain, on July 2nd, 2019. Visiting Mercamadrid requires waking up very early, since the visit starts at 6:30 am! But it is worth it. Thanks to Mercamadrid for this wonderful visit!

We are going to remind in several posts all the wonderful activities that our students enjoyed during the past edition of UAM’s Summer School of Economics and Business.

Our program begun on June 24th, 2019, with the Seminar “Global Economic Transformations in a Low Carbon Economy”. Thanks to our Vice-Rector for Internationalization, Carmela Calés, and Vice-Dean for International Relations, Rafael de Arce, for presiding this very successful event!

Our director, Prof. Dr. Miguel Buñuel, delivered the first lecture: “An Economic Perspective on the Transition to a Low Carbon Economy”.

Prof. Dr. Toshi Arimura (Waseda University, Japan) delivered the Keynote Lecture: “Japan’s Climate Policy”.

Our Inauguration Seminar ended with a wonderful roundtable with Prof. Dr. Carmen Arguedas (UAM) as Chair, Prof. Dr. Ricardo Correia (UAM), Prof. Dr. Estela Díaz (Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, Spain), Prof. Dr. Toshi Arimura, and Prof. Dr. Miguel Buñuel.
